Leaving open the opportunity to envision a reality without limits. Inspired by science fiction and surrealism, I was motivated to create a photo series about the universal experience of predicting what is to come. This portrayal does not carry any particularly negative or positive connotations, but rather encourages unique interpretations by navigating through the layers of the collages.

Imagining the complex future through visual exaggeration and speculation.

Manipulating new shots of the city and past images from my digital archive, 2054 graphically characterising various themes, including surveillance, technology, and overpopulation, through four surreal landscape composites of different environments. Each environment has its own colour palette and thematic focus, with all four spaces blended together to create a single panorama and presented as a lightbox installation piece.

The lightbox presentation provides a dynamic, multisensory experience utilizing soundscape and controlled lighting from the piece itself, enhancing the futuristic ambiance. The round, horizontal sequencing is intended to drive a cyclical flow by which to encourage viewers to walk around the piece and read each environment one at a time, moving through the series without a beginning or end.
